New car will be raffled off to raise funds for basketball team.
Yorba Linda The new Mustang basketball team at Yorba Linda High School is raffling off a new 2010 Mustang car to raise funds for the fledgling sports program.
The car, which will be raffled off on Oct. 12, is being sold at cost to the school by the Fairway Ford Dealership. Raffle tickets are $25, and the team is hoping to sell 1,500 tickets.
Members of the basketball team will be out in the community selling raffle tickets over the next few weeks, but tickets can also be purchased at the ERA North Orange County Real Estate office, 18431 Yorba Linda Blvd., in Yorba Linda.
YLHS – which opened its doors earlier this month – has also partnered with Fairway Ford for a test drive fundraiser.
During the "Drive One 4Ur School" fundraiser on Oct. 3, the car dealership will be giving the school $20 for each person who takes a test drive in one of its new cars from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the high school campus, 19900 Bastanchury Road. The school will also be sponsoring a car wash.
