Office Update -
* We have started the interview process for the twelve additional teachers we will have for 2010-2011. It is very exciting to see the energy and enthusiasm that teachers requesting a transfer will bring to YLHS.
* Jennifer, Lorri and Nancy are working “fast and furious” to get all of our student requests in the computer.* The only changes in the office in 2010-2011 are that both Lorri and Nancy will be “full time” YLHS counselors, and we will add one “full time” custodian on July 1st.
Facility Update -
* Byron Davey Inc. has been approved as the contractor for construction of the Football Stadium and Varsity baseball field. You should see tractors working!! – on Monday!!!
* We will have field access in the stadium for football practice starting August 15th – no games – and varsity baseball outfield will have sod in place by September 1st for our other athletic teams to practice.
* We will field all sports and all levels, including varsity teams in our new Empire League – fun, fun, fun!!
* Pool Update – We are in the “bidding” process with board approval in late May and a June start date.

Congratulations! - to Bincins Garcia and the YLHS Jazz Band for a terrific evening performance last Thursday. Great music, food and some very fast Mustang cars were on display. Thank you, Bincins, for all your time and directing our students to a terrific performance.
The Best of Broadway – Choir Presentation – from our YLHS Vocal class is this week, April 28th & 29th at 7:30 p.m. in the forum theater. This will be a great evening of music and fun.
