Rumor has it that our wonderful PTSA has organized a luncheon which will be set up in the teacher’s lounge.
Did you Hear? – YLHS Seniors have been awarded a total of $1,752,200 in scholarships – outstanding!!
Congratulations to our Class of 2012!
Prom – Saturday – May 19 at the Balboa Pavillion in Newport Beach. Over 600 students will participate in the dance and boat rides. Come see our young adults all dressed up. Thank you, Shea, Colleen and ASB for planning this event and a great location!!
STAR Testing – starts next Monday. Jennifer and her team have done a great job in preparing for the state test. Don’t forget to remind your students this week about the special schedule and doing their best.
Congratulations to Bincins Garcia and YLHS Jazz Bands - for a great performance last Thursday night. Our students had the opportunity to perform with guest artist, Jeff Jarvis, trumpet and Stacy Harris, vocals. Great job!!
Orchestra & Band Music Concerts – this week! – Our wonderful YLHS String and Sinfonia Orchestras,
under the direction of Phil Mortensen, will be performing tonight, Monday at 7:30 in the Valencia High School gym. – Also – Tuesday, the YLHS Concert bands and Jazz bands, under the direction of Bincins Garcia will perform at 6:00 and 7:30 p.m. also in the Valencia gym. Come out a see our great musicians!!
