Football – finished the season 8-2 (4-2 in league). They will start CIF post-season against Villa Park High School at Fred Kelly Stadium at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
M Water Polo – finished 5-1 in league I a 3-way tie for first place (co-league champs). CIF post-season
competition is tomorrow here against LaQuinta High School at 3:15 p.m.
W Volleyball - 2012 Empire League Champs (back-to-back). 1st round CIF play starts tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. here against Web High School.
W Golf - 2012 Empire League Champs (back-to-back) went undefeated in league play, made it to 2nd round of CIF team play and finished 15th overall. Brooke Graebe made it to the 1st round of CIF individuals.
W & M Cross Country – Women’s finished 2nd and Men’s finished 3rd in league. Both teams qualified for CIF prelims to be held at Mt. Sac on Saturday.
W Tennis – 2012 Empire League Champs (back-to-back) and went undefeated in league. They are currently competing in the 2nd round of CIF team play. Caitlynn Lowery (singles) and Courtney Jacobs & Farrah Modarres (doubles) advanced to CIF individuals starting 11/19.
YLHS Band & Color Guard - took home 1st place trophies from the Loara Field Show in Anaheim last weekend.
Their next performance will be this Wednesday at the district wide Band and Color Guard Field Show. Come out to Bradford Stadium and see YLHS along with all of our district middle and high school bands and color guard perform their parade march and field show. It is a terrific evening to see how talented our students are.
A Terrific Homecoming Game and Dance - were held October 19th & 20th at YLHS. A BIG THANK YOU to Shea Runge, ASB and the following staff members who made this all happen.
