Welcome 3 New Members to our Leadership Team - Two new Department Chairs for the 2014-15 school year – Sharon Farrell – will take over the Science Department Chair duties as Marc Hill moves to retirement and traveling in his new trailer.
Simone Mueller – has stepped up to take over the World Language Department with five different languages being taught at YLHS. We wish Dan Dupont all the best as he moved back to El Dorado to take on the responsibilities of Assistant Principal.
WASC Self-Study Report – Scott Mazurier - will be take over the responsibilities of this very important aspect of YLHS and our Accreditation process for the state. Dan and Scott have already started on the transition and what we need to be looking at next year as we prepare for a one day visit in 2015-16. Thank You, Dan Dupont, for your guidance, follow through and “nagging” during our first five years and our 1st full WASC Report in 2013. We had a terrific visit from the eight member WASC team because you prepared us with all the necessary tools. Again, thank you, Dan, and thank you,
Scott, for taking on the self-study of everything we do at YLHS!
Seniors’ Last Week - This is Seniors last week in classes. The Counseling Department will be monitoring last minute credit checks and community service hours to make sure all of our seniors have met the PYLUSD graduation requirements. If you have any seniors you are concerned about, let the counselors or Mrs. Jauch know ASAP!
Caps & Gowns - will be handed out this Friday starting at 2:00 p.m. in the quad.
