PTSA Honorary Service Awards
2015
1. Lisa Tully was given a PTA Honorary Service Award. She is always positive and always looking for programs to make YLHS a better school. She works effectively with coaches, students and parents in the Women's Athletic Program. You can find her at almost all women's sporting events. Her AP students have a terrific pass rate on AP exams. She is a Vital Link Teacher and this year she started our very successful Mock Trial Team.
2. Jamie Jauch was given a PTA Outstanding Administrator Award. She has been at YLHS for 2 years and is regarded as the “go to” person for staff to develop new classes and programs to get students connected. She is very hardworking, approachable and committed to getting YLHS awards and programs that highlight what a great school we are. She was involved in the writing of our Gold Ribbon Application and instrumental in writing a proposal for a new Mustang Business Academy at YLHS.
3. David Salinas from Chick-Fil-A Yorba Linda was given a PTA Honorary Service Award. Yorba Linda Chick-fil-A has generously donated over $30,000 worth of free food to YLHS over the past 6 years. They have donated free coupons and gift baskets to PTSA, ASB, Grad Nite and numerous booster clubs. Their support of the community extends beyond YLHS to all schools in the district. They truly set the standard as a Community Partner with schools and youth.
4. Susie Beatificato was given a PTA Very Special Person Award. She has delivered 5,400 slices of pizza to YLHS Fellowship of Christian Athletes, provides all the lunches and snacks for Women's soccer and volunteered with National Charity League for many years. She coordinates volunteers to serve 250 students free pizza every FCA meeting and she always has a smile on her face.
5. Kino Oaxaca was given a PTA Honorary Service Award. Some of the things people say to describe him are “he is a mentor to all” and “he has positively affected the lives of numerous people”. The consistent theme when talking about Kino is that he truly cares about the students, gives his support to them and builds up their character. He has served the school district for many years and is currently our Campus Supervisor and Boys Soccer Coach.
6. Shea Runge was given a PTA Honorary Service Award. She commits so much time to YLHS, sometimes arriving at 7am and leaving at 11pm. In her duties, she is supportive of her students and their ideas all while listening to them and matching them with their strengths. Her desire is to raise up leaders in Student Leadership in a friendly, fun atmosphere. In her position, she is responsible for 40 students that plan school-wide events, oversees 50 Clubs and sets ASB Budget to support all programs on campus.
7. Denelle Kaminski was given a PTA Honorary Service Award. She is a Mecca of wisdom and support and has been donating her skills to PTSA for the past 14 years. She has been on almost every committee and has held positions of Membership chair and Parliamentarian at YLHS. Prior to high school she served as the record breaking Jog-a-thon chair, as EVP and President. She continues to serve even though she has no children at YLHS this year or next year!
Congratulations to all of the 2015 PTA Service Award recipients!
