PTSA Honorary Service Awards

This year's Awards are the Following as
Presented at the Scooby Doo themed Renaissance Rally:
Like zoinks man! The Yorba Linda High School PTSA is like, totally excited to be here today to announce the Honorary Service Award recipients for this year. I will reveal clues to help all of us solve the mystery of this year’s recipients.
- This suspect is guilty serving with the YLHS PTSA from its early days, as well as serving on other PTA boards and other committees for multiple years.
- This volunteer has done a invaluable job in many positions, including most recently Website chairperson and Newsletter chairperson, and always goes above and beyond her responsibilities to fill in whenever needed.
- This person has put in many long hours to serve our school and community, often without much recognition for her thorough and willing service.
Well gang, I guess that solves Mystery #1! Our first Continuing Service Award goes to Laurie DeCuyper.
Maybe we can dig up some answers to this next mystery!
- This person is guilty serving with the YLHS PTSA for 5 years, as well as serving on other PTA boards for many years.
- This volunteer has done a groovy job as one of the Student Leadership advisers serving countless hours of working with students to make a difference at school and in our community, and always has a smile on her face.
- This person has also served active member of the National Charity League for 6 years, in addition to other organizations, including multiple activities and booster groups on campus.
That’s no mystery; the Continuing Service Award goes to Marnie Jenican!
It is so groovy to recognize these deserving people. This next suspect is a repeat offender!
- This person has been found guilty before of countless hours of service at multiple schools, including the past 6 years at YLHS.
- This volunteer has held too many positions to list, but includes most recently photographer, party planner, PTSA Executive Vice President, dedicated CHOC fundraiser, and has been a National Charity League volunteer for over 10 years.
- This person has left a creative legacy in her wake and you know she would do anything to help the students have a better and fun experience. She does it all without even asking for a Scooby Snack.
Please join us in honoring Regina Bernabe with the highest PTSA honor, the Golden Oak Service Award.

- This suspect has been involved as a parent volunteer at YLHS since the school opened in 2009.
- They are “guilty” of spending hundreds of hours involved with the Men’s Basketball program and the Men's Baseball program.
- He has served as the Men’s Basketball Booster Club President for an astounding 7 years, helping to build an amazing support program.
Well gang, I guess that solves Mystery #1! Our first Honorary Service Award goes to Rob Paddon.
Maybe we can dig up some answers to this next mystery!
- This suspect has been volunteering long before YLHS even opened, helping build school pride and training leaders and staff every where he went.
- This person often donates time at set ups, leadership camps, and athletic events.
- This suspect is a teacher here, and not only helped set up the Link Crew program, but helped revise and revamp it to become even better over the years!
That’s no mystery; our Outstanding Teacher Award goes to Mr. Brent Hendry!
It is so groovy to recognize these deserving people. This next suspect is a repeat offender!
- This person has been found guilty of before of doing “lots of time” to benefit the students of YLHS.
- This YLHS teacher has taken on new responsibilities and programs. Her willingness to use so much of her energy goes far beyond what is expected in order to benefit the students at YLHS and the community.
- It is our belief that she would do anything that makes YLHS a better place to learn, and she doesn’t even need a Scooby snack.
